Lesley Taylor is a contemporary artist, based for most of her time in West Sussex, but with a second home in Suffolk on the east coast.
In 2011, Lesley completed her first full collection of work, entitled 'The Drip Series'. Inspired in part by the sometimes painful, but frequently hilarious renovation of a very dilapidated cottage in Orford, Suffolk.
Lesley specialises in the production of striking white three-dimensional boxed sculptures. Each of these encapsulates a moment in time, involving the careful play of light with shadow, in which the focus is a seemingly simple splash of colour. Her work tells a story, but much is left to the imagination of the viewer. Lesley’s sense of humour is, however, evident in all of her work.
Something of a latecomer to artistic pursuits, Lesley began working full-time as an artist in 2011. Since the summer of 2011, her work has been exhibited at:
- The High Street, Aldeburgh, Suffolk
- Reading Contemporary Art Fair
- Untitled Artists Fair, Chelsea
- Art London
- Toronto International Art Fair
- The London Art Fair
