Nancy Chambers finds joy and fulfilment in capturing fleeting moments in nature. From the bloom of a plum to the delicate petals of a poppy, her work celebrates light, colour, and texture. Her approach is interpretative rather than literal, using paint, texture, and innovative tools—sometimes homemade—to bring her subjects to life. Whether working on small fruit studies, landscapes, seascapes, or abstract compositions, Nancy aims to evoke the essence of her subject, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate the beauty in everyday moments. Nancy Chambers began painting professionally in 2019, building on a lifetime of creativity. Her earlier career included roles in charities, hat design, and teaching, all of which enriched her perspective and storytelling ability. During the first UK lockdown, Nancy developed a series of small fruit paintings, exploring light, colour, and texture—work that continues today alongside her interpretative landscapes, seascapes, and abstracts in acrylic and mixed media. She has exhibited alongside leading British artists including Grayson Perry, Antony Gormley, Maggie Hambling, and Anish Kapoor, with collectors worldwide acquiring her work.
